A Journey Through Bottles with a History
The Inner Circle of Wine is a new event series designed for people who want to discover their hidden treasures together. Each evening has its own theme: sometimes focusing on major wine regions, special vintages, or aged bottles; other times on producers, notable figures, or culinary collaborations.
It’s not just about names, origins, or labels. The focus is on wines that have gained significance over time—through their origin, their evolution, the occasion they’re served with, or the story behind them.
This creates a setting for evenings that combine knowledge, enjoyment, and conversation. Carefully curated, intentionally personal, and always with the goal of bringing wine to life.

What the Evening Reveals
The focus is on two elements that give The Collector’s Eve its unique character: theCollector Flight and the Open Library Bar.
Collector Flight – hosted by Raphael Barbi, CertifiedSommelierby the Court of Master Sommeliers
The evening kicks off with the Collector Flight. During this segment, selected wines from the Wine-Wallet are opened together and tasted under the guidance of a host. This first part of the evening sets the tone: It takes guests on a journey through different regions, styles, and vintages, and makes it clear that there’s more to every bottle than just its label—a place, an occasion, or a memory.
Open Library Bar
Afterward, the evening gets underway with the Open Library Bar. More bottles are brought out, conversations become more relaxed, and discoveries take on a more personal tone. While the Collector Flight traces the first path through origin and memory, the Open Library Bar shows where the journey can lead next—and that good wines not only carry a story with them but also have a future.
The New Go-To Spot for Exclusive Events
A former archive at Schauflergasse 6 has been transformed into a new event venue, which will Wine Wallet by Wine Wallet in the future. Located in the heart of Vienna, near the Hofburg, the cellar now offers the perfect setting for evenings like the Inner Circle of Wine.
Natural materials, warm surfaces, and the room’s historic character define the atmosphere. A kitchenette, a high-quality sound system, a prominently placed drinking fountain, wooden grapevines, and a climate-controlled area with space for up to 1,600 bottles round out the venue.
In this way, the grand opening isn't just an occasion—the new location itself becomes part of the story—as a place for exceptional wines, good conversation, and new discoveries.
With culinary accompaniment by Tatarie Marie
Tatarie Marie will be providing the musical accompaniment for the evening. Delicate signature bites add a culinary touch that doesn’t overwhelm the evening but rather complements it perfectly where wine, hospitality, and a sense of ease come together. This is how The Inner Circle of Wine finds its own rhythm—from the first glass through to the more relaxed, conversation-filled hours of the evening.
