A Journey Through Bottles with a History
With “Inner Circle of Wine,” Wine Wallet opened Wine Wallet new event venue, “Weinkanzlei,” in Vienna. The focus was on select bottles from the Wine-Wallet —wines that have found their place over the years and are now being reopened in a special setting.
About 60 guests gathered at the Weinkanzlei and discussed the wines. It was an evening filled with exceptional wines, personal stories, good conversations, and new connections—exactly as we had envisioned this event.
An Evening of Wine Wallet, Fine Wine, and Community
The evening was kicked off by our co-CEOs, Martin and Melanie, who Wine Wallet an update on Wine Wallet : where we stand today, what’s currently in the works, and what our next steps are.
Wine Wallet currently has over 100 customers and more than 35,000 reserved bottle slots. At the same time, we are Wine Wallet improving Wine Wallet —with greater transparency, better wine data, provenance information, and preparations for a high-quality marketplace focused on verified wines.
Our goal is not only to professionally store fine wine and showcase it digitally, but also to create a trustworthy infrastructure for collectors and wine lovers. In the future, there will be more events like this from the “Inner Circle of Wine.”
A Collectors' Flight in Three Parts
After a brief Wine-Wallet, the tasting portion of the evening began.
Our sommelier Raphael led the tasting; as a Certified Sommelier, he provided expert insights into the wines and guided the guests through three special tasting segments.
What made this evening special was that the wines we tasted came from the collections of our community members. This turned the flight into more than just a tasting—it offered a personal glimpse into the stories behind the bottles.
Two members, Christian and Jörg, shared how they came to acquire the wines that were being tasted together that evening. It was precisely these personal stories that made the flight particularly lively: It wasn’t just about vintages, origins, and ratings, but about memories, decisions, a passion for collecting, and the question of what a bottle means to its owner.
The Library Bar: Over 50 Wines from the Community
After the guided tasting, the evening continued at the Library Bar.
An exceptional lineup of over 50 wines awaited guests there—curated from the collections of our community members. The entire lineup consisted exclusively of bottles brought in by members.
From P.Y. Colin Morey to Ulysse Colin, and on to Tignanello and Hirtzberger in double magnums, the selection impressively demonstrated just how diverse and high-quality the collections within the Wine-Wallet already are.
The Library Bar brought to life what the Inner Circle of Wine is all about: not just big names or rare bottles, but sharing moments with wine, its origins, stories, and personal enthusiasm.
